MMS (Master of Management Studies) – a 2-year full-time postgraduate degree (affiliated to Mumbai University). Specializations include Marketing Management, Financial Management (MFM), and Operations. Admission is through Maharashtra’s CAP counseling (primarily MAH‑MBA CET; SIMSREE also accepts CAT/CMAT/XAT scores)

MFM/MMM (Master’s in Financial/Marketing Management) – 3-year part-time Executive MMS programs. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree and minimum ~2 years work experience. Selection is through SIMSREE’s own process (GD/PI).

How can I apply and what are the deadlines?

For full-time MMS/PGDM, candidates first take the MAH‑CET (or CAT/CMAT) and then participate in DTE’s CAP rounds. SIMSREE does not have a separate application outside CAP (for MMS). CAP registration usually opens in May (following the MBA CET) and admissions conclude by July. For MFM/MMM (executive) programs, SIMSREE’s admissions (2025–28 batch) had online applications from Feb to April, with GD/PI later

SIMSREE is known for its low fees (hence high ROI). For the two-year MMS/PGDM, the total fee is roughly ₹1.35–1.40 lakh for 2 years (about ₹69k–₹70k per year)
The executive MFM/MMM programs (3-year MMS) have similar modest fees (details are on SIMSREE’s site). These fees cover tuition and library; hostel is not provided (students arrange local accommodation in Mumbai).

Does SIMSREE offer scholarships or financial assistance?

SIMSREE does not offer any scholarships. However, since MMS is affiliated to Mumbai University, students can apply for Maharashtra government scholarships (e.g. for SC/ST, OBC, minority, handicapped etc.) through the standard government portals, based on caste and income criteria. SIMSREE alumni bodies (SIMAA) sometimes offer merit scholarships or awards to top students. Many students rely on education loans; banks often give subsidized loans to MMS students of reputed colleges.

What facilities and student activities exist at SIMSREE?

SIMSREE has a compact city campus in Churchgate (downtown Mumbai). Facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, a computer lab, library, and a common activity area. While there is no on-campus hostel, SIMSREE helps first-year students find nearby PGs/hostels (there are many in Churchgate/Girgaon). Co-curricular life is active: there are student committees for cultural, sports, media, finance, etc., and annual fests (e.g. “Synapse” cultural fest, “Stratagem” management conclave). The institute also has an Entrepreneurship Cell and ties with the parent college (Sydenham College) for events.

The MMS (MBA) at SIMSREE is a 4-semester program. The curriculum includes core management courses in Year 1 (e.g. Accounting, Economics, HRM, Operations, Marketing, Quantitative Techniques) and electives/specializations in Year 2 (especially in Marketing Management, Financial Management, Operations). SIMSREE emphasizes practical learning: there are regular guest lectures by industry leaders, case studies, projects and industry interactions. The pedagogy is a mix of lectures, projects, seminars and field visits. Students also do internships, particularly in the summer of Year 2, aided by the Placement Office.
